super 8 video cameras

well i'm not really producing a bmx video that will be marketed on a large scale, but i am producing a video which will be available on vhs and hopefully dvd sometime this winter. i'll be selling it in a few local shops and hopefully to a few people online.

i have a lot of the footage shot already and i plan to use super 8 for intros, and certain shots that deserve the distinctive look of film.

it will be an attempt at capturing the bmx freestyle scene here in the canadian mid-west, complete with rider sections, friends and wipeouts.

i'm hoping for something like 30 minutes or more but we'll have to see. it takes a lot of riding clips to make a video that long.

Recently I saw a comercial for Mcdonalds that was done entirely in S8 with a bunch of skateboarders.
It was the first time ever I was excited watching a Fastfood ad...LOL!

i am also shooting a small film this winter and its a snowboarding film shot through out canada and america.thinking of adding super-8 in for some arty stuff whats the best way to edit this and transfer onto dvd.also just about to purchase any brands that people favour.
